First time hunting out west. I am headed to unit 25/26 on second choice draw. No big expectation other other than a good adventure and to learn as much as I can. Also may fly out there in August to do some scouting. I've got 2 weeks to hunt. Any recommendations on what two weeks during archery season, areas to stay away from, what to expect. PM's welcomed. Thanks

You will want to hunt early while they are still in velvet and summer patterns. Up high in the flat top wilderness would be a good place to scout. If you have access to horses or can do it on your back.
. I have a 4th season tag in the unit, if you could tie up a few big bucks to a tree I'd appreciate it. Good Luck

I keep giving this advice.
Come out first week of August, get up above treeline. Find buck. Return for season before bucks shed their velvet, and they will still be close by. Good luck, have fun!
