80 & 81 4th Season Deer

My Dad drew a 4th season deer tag in units 80 and 81. It wasn't the unit we were intending to apply for. But, now that he has the tag, we are facing the decision to keep or return. Having never been to the unit I don't know anything about it. I have hunted in the bordering units. But, I know a lot can change from unit to unit. I think we would be happy with with a good mature buck 175ish. Thought maybe somebody could provide a brief overview of the unit and what one might expect to experience on this hunt. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to provide some info.

I hunted it in 2016. It was a tough year as that was the year with a warm November. We did kill a couple of bucks, nothing big. I can say we wasted a lot of time looking for deer where there were none. We found two areas that held the majority of deer, my buddy killed his in one, I killed mine in the other. I missed a good opportunity on a non-typical one day, and a truck that wouldn't start made us late one morning and we found a real nice 30" 3x4 riding out in the back of a truck from the area we were hunting. My deer is the first one.

Congrats on the deer. I sent you a PM. Sounds like you were able to find the right place to look in a short hunt.

Rambofool-You are a cancer to this site and should be banned-you add no value and are the dirt under an internet troll's feet!

Go bash Kalkomey some more and sink back into your pathetic life.

As true "hunters" and sportsmen do, we will continue to build each other up and add to the richness and tradition that comradery brings of this sport. This will continue long after you have faded into your bitter obscurity.

Hopefully Founder feels the same so we can wipe your negative vitriol from MM forever.
