Does anyone have any preferred meat processors in Grand Junction? I'll be heading up there from my 2b NM deer hunt to get the NM deer processed and to pick my Dad up from the airport before we head east for our unit 33 3rd season hunt. I appreciate the info.

D and M meats
I have not had any problems with not getting back my meat.
No bad reviews from past clients that we have sent there either.

D & M Meats would be my choice also. And if you need a taxidermist there is 1 just down the road (wink). I have a muzzy Deer tag for 33 so don't expect to see the "Big One" unless you stop by. LOL. Good luck to you.

I'll keep that in mind stalker! I appreciate the info. It looks like D and M meats it is. Would you mind if I contacted you before my 33 hunt? What are the dates of your muzzy hunt?

Bean, yes they did. How is the retired life? Did you make it to Alaska yet?
Wizz, sure get in touch with me. My hunt is 9/8-9/16.

Kim Antonelli at Holy Cow packing in Silt would be a good option if you're hunting 33. Kim and his family have been doing my animals for nearly 15 years now. Very clean, timely, fair in price and makes incredible sausages.

Ok....thanks Coloradoboy. I appreciate another option. I will give them a call.

If my Dad or I get a good one, we may have to contact him. I would normally do euro mounts myself but the stress of sneaking the heads back across the Cali border sometimes just isn't worth it.

Dropped off an ID elk at Old World in Grand Junction last year on the way to a deer hunt in CO. Done in a couple days not a bad job, would use them again.

Old world was great at one time.
If you get burger or anything else ground like sausage or sticks they will not guarantee your own meat back. They throw it all in a huge vat and if they don't have a a lot of it they won't make what you want until they do.
I have done all of my processing for years including burger, sausage and jerky.
