Colorado Rain situation

Hey all, will be coming to Colorado for the archery opener for elk. Just wondering about the rains situation out there. I know it has been dry but have the rains started? We will be in the Walden /Rabbit Ears/ Buffalo pass areas. Looking forward to time in camp. A good camp is really what I enjoy. Taking a first time elk hunter .... his home state is Indiana. KInda fun watching how excited he gets about his first time out west. That's a blessing.... passing it on!!!
 
You can look up the monthly weather report for Walden on weather.com and it will give a feel for how much precip they've gotten. Here on the north front range we've gotten a few afternoon rainshowers lately....some pretty intense. It's been a relief getting a break from the 90's and no clouds we had for the previous month. Enjoy your hunt!
 
Things look good in the North Park area where I have been. There was a good snow pack so the meadows are green.
There has been good rains in the Northern part of Colorado the last couple of weeks. Can't say the same for Southern Colorado. It is a dust bowl down there below 8,000 feet. The high meadows are green but the Winter range is in trouble. I'm really worried.
