How did the 2nd season tag holders do in Unit 22 this year? I have a third season deer tag and I am heading out this weekend to hunt for a week. Did you see any big bucks hit the ground? Any rutting activity? Feel free to email or pm me if you do not want to post on the forum. Thanks in advance for any information. I spent 10 points on this tag and plan on making the most of it.

OK. We did not see any monster bucks but we had a good time and took some decent bucks. I'm not sue it was worth 10 PP but I was tired of playing the PP game. I'll see if I can post a picture when I get a minute.

I'd be curious to hear about the hunt. My dad has the points to draw 22 3rd. I hear it has lots of roads which would be good for him since he has a couple bad knees. He got one replaced already but it's still tough for him to walk much more then a mile or so a day.

Regards, Branden

I hunted 22 2nd season last year but for only a few days. elks96 can give you a lot of info about unit 22. I feel for your father, my knees held me back last year but this year I had one replaced so I am looking forward to future hunts.

Good unit for your dad, there are roads everywhere, you literally cannot walk a mile without crossing another road unless you are parallel with one. Quality is down from 5 years ago so don't expect to shoot a giant. Anything over 170? is a great buck in 22 now.
