I am wanting to burn my CO points. I live in Idaho and would gladly trade info in Idaho for big game or upland bird hunting. I would want a muzzy hunt with a decent chance at a 170+ buck.

Thanks!

Just making sure you know they are rolling back the dates this year? That will definitely not help your goals

Does this mean the dates will be later? If so do you know what the new dates will be and are the regs out already?
Thanks

LAST EDITED ON Feb-08-19 AT 08:15AM (MST)[p]Think it's the 14th- 22nd? I like the idea of the muzzy hunt there too. I feel u can get a good unit that takes lots of pts for 3rd season cheaper for muzzy. We saw several really nice mulies on a muzzy elk last yr there and I feel they would have been easy to get in and kill

Muzzloader is always the 3rd weekend of archery. The dates are just a bit later this year due to archery starting August 31st (the last Saturday in August). They wont change the season structure until next year.

For those pts.. which I was last year.....dont hold your breath. Not to be negative, but lots of dudes are in the same place. I went 70 3rd. Never again. 4th season or no go for me. Statistics are bad as I spikes and drinkers filling camps. They are there.. but don't fall for 65% success as it is warm in those units in mid nov

I'm in the same exact boat. I've leaned a few diff ways. It's kind of toughcause really it's no mans land and hardly any units in that range. I might just pick any 6pt and less unit and burn them regardless of points needed. Especially after jacking up prices. I just want to be done. If I hunt Colorado again just hunt a unit that doesn't take more than a pt.

Seems like every time I get thinking of a unit I find tons of negative press. 70 sucks. 61 2nd sucks. I just don't know.
