2019 Big Game application changes

Looks like we are now required to purchase a turkey or small game licences prior to applying for big game.

My questions are:

#1 Does a youth applicant have to by a small game our YOUTH small game license to be able to apply for big game.

#2 Do you still have to pay the $40 fee if not buying a big game licence and want to keep your points?

Question 1 yes but it's a $1.25 for non-resident youth small game license.

Question 2 no but there is a preference Point fee for sheep moose and goat

Not sure about youth apps,

but as I understand it, the $40 per species fee for elk and deer has gone away. In its place is the aprox $80 license we now ALL have to buy. I never paid for PPs because I always bought a license, but now will have to fork over an additional $80 each year just to apply.

And you can count on the actual app fees going up in years to come as well.
