It's my son's first tag ever. We went down on Thursday and hunted hard all weekend and saw everything but a javelina! 20 plus deer, 4 lion tracks, and he shot his first coyote(4 coyotes glassed up). We saw some tracks but not many. We hunted the Yellow Pine Ranch, below the runway and one canyon each direction of the main head quarters and behind the Cane Springs Ranch. Any help would be great appreciated, my son is a little bummed that we didn't find any Javelina. We glassed for hours and walked our butts off! Heading back down Thursday for the remainder of the hunt. Any ideas on what to do would be helpful.

Man thats a bummer. Those little guys can be hard to find sometimes. You always see them when you aren't hunting them. It sounds like you were in some decent spots there. I can point you to an area on the west slope of the Hualapais that I always see alot of sign and have seen pigs before if you are interested in trying that side. I'll send you a PM.

Thank you for your help guys! Chas shot his first javelina Thursday at 1:30pm. We have created a monster now, we put him in for a left over HAM hunt in 18A. Chas wants to shoot one with his muzzleloader next. Thanks to the state of Arizona for allowing kids to hunt at a earlier age too!
