Non Res applying with Az Res

Question for you pro's. How would a Non- Resident with zero points affect our odds if he was on our application? I have 11 BP's (elk) and my dad has 6 BP's (elk). My cousin lives in Wisconsin and would love to Elk hunt in Az. We are all experienced archery hunters so would apply for a early archery tag in most likely 5BN/S. With 11 BP's myself I've been trying to be patient and hold out for a early rifle tag but I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines. I'm not sold on the idea of all of us putting in together yet but I can only go on so many hunts/scouting trips if we drew different tags. I'm a generous person and would like for him to experience a prime Az rut hunt. Just kicking the rock around as the elk draw approaches... Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Adding both of them will eliminate any chance to draw 5B N/S in the Bonus Pass because of your averaged point total (6). You on the other hand, will easily draw with 11 as a resident.
A NR needed at least 8 points in 2014 so he's a long way away. There were only 6 tags available to NR in the 1-2 Pass in 2014 for 5BS and over 2,500 1st-2nd choice apps. Only 1 tag for 5BN.

If one person on that application is a NR, then the entire application is treated as a NR application. (10% max rule will apply)

AZ resident with 11 points has a great opportunity to draw a number of late tags..Your cousin, well, he is in big trouble!

One idea though is that late Unit 6A hunt. Tons of tags..

Hey I see you're interested in archery elk. Heck apply for Unit 6A archery. Good chance you'll draw!
