12aw late

Congrats! I am interested if you were high or low. My daughter had the 12b hunt and we sure didn't see hardly any good sized bucks. I was thinking they were still high and hadn't come off top yet. It was drier than I have ever seen it.

Thanks for the congrats guys. I ended up getting him in the lower country. Saw lots of deer in the pj's didn't see any up high. Started spotting the bigger bucks in the lower sage flats with their harem of does. Had 3 different big boys I was after and ended up with this one. Passed on a 27" 3x4 opening day , didn't think I would ever do that but glad I did. This was a special hunt for me as I dedicated it to my Dad whom I lost to pancreatic cancer this past March. He definitely would have been on this hunt with me if he could have.I just hope I made him proud. I already miss our hunts together.

Thanks Don, that means a lot coming from you. I was hoping to see you there on the hunt, I think I went by your camp if you were down around jump up area.

are you a resident or non resident ? congrats on the great buck and joining the 30 inch club !

Non-Res , took 16 points to draw. That includes hunter ed and loyalty point which was still 1 below max due to a friend not submitting proper fees with apps 1 year.

Yep, that was us...wasn't going to drive back and forth off the mountain every day!

We looked at 153 bucks during the hunt, only saw a couple that were really trophy class though.

My hunter did get a shot at the biggest buck I've ever seen on the Kaibab at 206 yards, but his scope was broke, and he shot over it!

There was a 206 8 x 6 shot right behind our camp.

So yes there were a few big boys taken.

Your buck is a good one two.

Love the width!

Congrats again on an awesome buck!

Thanks for all the positive response guys. I just dropped off the Cape at the fur tanning business yesterday for a shoulder mount.

Great buck, hope to see him mounted later this year.
