I am a non-resident archery hunter with 9 points going into the draw. How many points do I need to draw in the bonus point pass for these units and where/how are you seeing that data?

I have 17 points as a NR and think I have a shot at unit 9 archery. Unit 27N? If you meant 23N...i put in with 17 but I have read on one thread where a NR claiming to have 18 points is putting in. So, to answer your question I think you have a least 10 more years until you draw. Probably more like 15:(

You need at least 17 for 9 to have a chance based on last years data. 23N which I assume you mean as there is no 27N is all over the board, it would have taken 20 points last year, but 15 the prior year.

I don't know if the draw works differently now, but about 2005 I think it was, a friend of my drew unit 27 archery bull the first time he ever applied in AZ.

Ya it works all different now. That was before the confusing 20% bonus pass deal. Back then it was more or less a plain bonus point lottery, so anyone could draw. We drew unit 1 archery with 5 points in 2004. Now you need 4 Philadelpia attorneys to explain your chances.

If you want a chance to draw this year with 9 points you might need to go like unit 8 and 7. Lots of guys dropping down their unit choices this year.
