Are there stat sheets that show how many points it took in each unit to be in the Max Pool? Can't seem to locate. Thanks

Yes there are. If you haven't looked at them before and don't have last year's regs it's like trying to read Chinese. List what units you wanna know and I'll tell you.

bonecollector77 I don't understand the point thing either. I was told to hold off until I get 12 points before putting in as a resident for a descent unit oh well.

Whoever told you that doesn't know what they are talking about. As a resident you have a chance of drawing any tag in the state year after year. Although your odds may be less than 1% there is still a chance. I drew one of the best early archery tags two years ago with 7 points. My sister drew a great early rifle bull tag when she was 10 with 1 bonus point. Every year a lot more people with less than 5 points get lucky and draw amazing tags than people with 15+. You need to get in the drawing every year and not waste your time doing bonus point only. You'll never get drawn if you don't put in. There is a lot to the draw but if you ever need help trying to figure out which hunts to go for let me know. just don't do a great hunt first choice and a mediocre hunt second choice with 12 points because you WILL get drawn for that second choice without ever having a chance at the 1st choice. NR have it much tougher because they deal with the 10% cap. But us residents have a chance every year.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-10-15 AT 12:50PM (MST)[p]NR is harder to tell but looking at the reports last year if similar numbers of people put in for that hunt 11 will not guarantee a tag in 27. It's right on the verge. They can only give like 22 tags to non res in that hunt. 14 tags went to people with 12+ points in the bonus pass. when they dropped into 11 points 25 people applied but only 17 drew. Some of those 25 didn't draw because they drew their first choice. Some NR with 11 didn't draw because they probably ran out of the 23 tags to give them. Some residents with 10 points drew in the bonus pass because they weren't subject to the 10% cap. so you're not guaranteed. You're odds are still pretty low this year. Next year will be much better. Just hope less NR apply there this year and youre good to go. If not this year next year you're going hunting.

BoneCol777 - At what point total is 6b early getting drawn for archery elk and with 2 points, what is the chance for a NR random?

>6 points is the lowest people
>got tags for that 6b
>early archery hunt. With 2
>points as a non res
>your odds are less than
>1% random draw.

Much appreciated. Less than 1 percent, sounds like another Utah.

Yeah its tough. Nearly 900 people put in for it so it's like having 2 raffle tickets. Once you get to the bonus pass at 6-7 points your odds go from 1%-5% the year before to 100% in one year. Kinda weird how it works.

Sure wish I hadn't missed putting in in 2008. That one missing point is huge now. I do have a loyalty and hunters Ed. point.
