12B West Muzzle Loader Hunt

Has anyone hunted this hunt? The dates for this year is
Nov. 6th - 12th. I know it is a migration unit are those dates to early to get any migration off the Kaibab or Paunsaugunt units. Thanks for any input.

There is always Bucks in that Unit year round . locate the Water Sources and get some scouting in you'll turn up something worth shooting ! Especially this year !!!

By then, many Paunsaugunt deer will be down south on the winter range (up north for your unit). I think Kaibab deer move by then too. Sounds like a fun hunt. Wish I were doing it.

Nice tag. How many points is that taking to draw for non res. and res? My suscription to hutersv trailhead ran out like 3 weeks ago. Thanks.........BULL!

Pray for early snow, The migration is really weather related. Like Mike said there are resident deer in there year around but if there is snow up top this hunt will be great

Thanks for the input. I think it takes 10 for Res, and 15 for non-res.

Most of the res deer are in 12be,but there are some brutes in there.The west side north of 12aw most deer migrate from Utah,but you get some out of 12aw around the winter road.I think that the muzz tag this year is a 12bw tag,so you can't hunt east of the honeymoon trail.I have hunted both sides early,late and the muzz hunt its all good.Nothing is better than a 12 or 13 mule deer hunt in AZ!!!!!!

the deer start moving in there mid oct. with or with out weather. last 2013 during the early hunt I would see 150 deer a day, no rutting but tons of road hunters kept most deer in the cover you wont have that with the muzzy hunt,not many tags.thats my 1st choice, no pressure and not 12 people per tag looking.
