NR's with Max Points

Does anyone know or know where to find how many Non-residents have max points on deer? My dad and I both at max, trying to see how many others with us.

We also need to consider the number of -1 nonresidents missing only the hunter education point. Seems like about as many of them move up taking the class every year as draw/drop out. If they limit the first max point round to half the nonresident quota as the commission approved, 13B will be only 3 tags per year to max points nonresident a year. Most of the max point pool left now is doing 13B or bust.....

David ... this will be the year to be 1 of the LUCKY 7 and agree that with Max Points it is "13B OR BUST" good luck to All ...Bruce & SilverGrand

Let's not give out too many reminders, please.

I know... Just kind of tough to decide what to do this year as they may drop 13B max pool nonresident tags in half or more with rounding. 70 tags would mean 3 per year due to dropping out. If you are young and they make no more changes and tag numbers remain similar, you will get it someday. It's less certain for guys like your dad and I. I bet a significant number of top poolers never draw if they do that. Which is OK, it's a supply, demand and fairness thing. But it does make this years second choice more of a thinking and guessing thing.

At 65 most will start looking for a tag they can draw before it too late. IMHO
ME when I retire I'm moving to AZ for 8 months so I can be a High point holder in the resident draw. LOL

Don't forget the NR's with one less point applying with another NR with max points averaging them both to max points. No statistics for this, but I know of 4 people who do this every year bringing in two without max points to max points. Also, those NR's who have AZ lifetime hunting license puting them in the resident pool for draw only.

I'm one of the nonresidents with AZ lifetime license and max deer points.

Just something else to think about when looking at the numbers at max points.
