We found some deer when dove/quail hunting with my kids in this unit last year so I put in and got a tag. I'm excited to hunt the desert does anybody know what to expect for deer quality or have any pics of deer taken in the past. I really don't know what to expect except for what I've seen which hasn't been much but promising. I doubled down this year and pulled an elk and deer tag in AZ it's gonna be a good season.

I've hunted 39, 41, 43/44A&B, and kofa's and in my opinion, 41 and kofas have the most amount of deer of the desert units near Yuma. I have seen a lot of quality bucks come from 41 as well. It is a pretty good unit and you have the option to hunt farmland or go hunt strictly the desert. You should have no problem seeing deer each day, just a matter of seeing the right ones. I have personally seen nice 26"-30" wide bucks out there before.

I will warn you that there are a lot of people that hunt 41 and be prepared to see a lot of people off-road hunting in jeeps and side by side vehicles. While it is enforced by game and fish and blm, a lot of people I know still choose to hunt that way so don't be shocked to see it. Good luck on your hunt and hopefully you can knock down a toad.
