LAST EDITED ON Feb-02-16 AT 09:39PM (MST)[p]My buddy and I have been putting in for quite a long time in Arizona with our sights set on a specific tag/unit. Well, with the changes we have come to realize that point creep will keep us from ever drawing that tag. We have decided to burn our points and go hunting. We have done quite a bit of research and we are down to two outfitters. One of us is leaning more towards Diamond and the other is leaning more towards Ward's.

Have any of you hunted with either outfitter? Positives? Negatives? Feel free to send me a PM if you would rather talk offline. We just want to make the best decision and give ourselves the best opportunity to maximize our time and investment.

Thanks!

So. . I'll give you my opinion. Diamond outfitters all the way! Because I guide for them :) haha but in all seriousness we have some great guides that know their stuff and kill great Bulls every year. To be honest you're gonna have a good time with either company so I'd look at the price first off. Look at previous Bulls killed and call some people that have been with each company. Both give references. How many points do you guys have? I'll help you decide on which units you'll be able to get and which ones I think you'll have the best time in with the best chance at a good bull. PM me or text me 928-240-3567 and we can discuss any questions that will help you out.

I'll give you a call in the morning. Thanks!

If you have narrowed it down to diamond and wards, then I don't have much more to add. Just how the heck will all the awesome guides did you narrow it down to those two and rule out the ones that kill the biggest bulls in az?

We pretty much know what unit we expect to draw based on our points. When researching guides for that unit, these were the two names that consistently came up. Id be glad to hear your recommendation. Truly.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-05-16 AT 09:35PM (MST)[p]My first two calls would be to A3 and Steve Chappell for elk in az.

He's talking about someone posting on your post that has been stealing cameras from another outfitter and got busted for it. PM him if you want to know more, I'm sure they will share. Be careful of your guide. A lot of good guides in arizona 2 of the best were mentioned. A3 and chappelle. People seem to like colburn/scott. There is a guy named Jed Larsen that works for A3. If you can get him, you'll do well. Look him up.
