under radar elk units

this was more about i gonna jump in rhe game this year just points for now im looking for more of draw chance then trophy would rather hunt a few times for decent bull then once for dream bull have a few in mind but the champ hunts thanks

Ok...I have heard units 9 and 10 are a little under the radar but there are good bulls to be had. I put 9 archery as my first choice and 10 muzzle as my second. Please don't do the same as it might hurt my odds.

I drew 9 archery in 2015 and would love to go back. With the rule change, I have a very very long shot (i.e. Lottery type odds).

Good luck and hope you find a great sleeper unit. AZ has been very good to me.

i think most units in AZ could produce a good bull, but some are managed for quantity over quality. just look at the tag numbers, and draw odds, and that will tell the tale of the tape. i mean, you could get lucky and get a big bull out of 6a, but you're more likely to get a big bull out of 23. but if you want a 23 tag, it's a longer wait, unless you just get lucky.

you could try your luck on that unit 21, but that's not a high density elk unit.

also, if you're willing to go into wilderness areas, like waaay into wilderness areas, you're likely to do well. hope you have horses.
