9 points archery elk

I know it's kinda late to be asking, but are there any units a guy could draw an archery elk tag with 9 pts?

There are several units that you could probably draw with 9 points. I hunted 5A a few years ago and had a great hunt. I saw 60 bulls in 9 days. 2 of them were 350+. Good access and moderate terrain. Some hunters but not many. 6A, 5BS, are in the same neighborhood and can offer a very good Elk hunt too. If you're looking for good access, a lot of Elk, and a reasonable chance at a 300 -320 bull any of those would be a good choice.

9 guarantees a few units and is very close on a few units. Guaranteed units are 4b 5a 6a 6b 7e 11m. Units you would almost be guaranteed or one point away is 3b 4a 5bn 5bs.

That's based off last year's draw. Obviously a few of those could change due to more people applying for a certain unit for different reasons.

Unit 6A would have been my recommendation.

Sleeper unit for the guy who can hunt the entire 14 days..

He would draw it if it was his first choice. He would draw it as his second choice if he didn't put a different unit for his first choice and may have already been filled with that tag.
I agree he will be hunting. 6A is a good unit.

He could have put it as 3rd-5th choice and he won't draw it so don't jump the gun.

No need to apply for vacation. I'm on permanent vacation..
