This is my first time posting on the Arizona forum as most of my post are on NM. Long story short I decided to cash in my AZ points and drew the unit 23 December Coues hunt. I am receiving some maps from NMPaul and plan on doing some scouting prior to the hunt at times that do not correspond with the earlier hunts to make sure I don't get in other hunters way. Will spend the first week prior to Christmas there and then the week following Christmas. I realize its a touchy subject to some and I am not asking for honey holes, but if anyone has any ideas on starting points for my scouting that would be great. If so a (pm) would be preferred. Drive out to the top of the rim and take a big spotter. You can cover miles of country. Mark the deer on a corresponding map and figure out ways to access and hunt them.
