Drew a rifle tag for unit 42, anyone have any knowledge of this unit they'd like to pass on to a first time mule deer hunter, I'd greatly appreciate any and all help. Thanks in advance

42 is your traditional desert type hunt. Low densities of deer mean that you will spend a lot of time behind the glass looking at a lot of country. Weather, especially temperature will drive deer activity. I would expect bucks to be up for short spurts in the morning and evening. Get on google earth and find some big hills that over look flats near water and start there. Good luck.
