2018 Regs Up...

Normally they have drawing odds and success rates in reg book but I don't see them this yr? Did I miss them??

Draw odds are in there, but they have the 2016 success rates. I'm assuming they can't put the 2017 success rates in them because they are printed too close to the end of hunting season.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-02-18 AT 10:37AM (MST)[p]I don't see hunter success and draw odds as they r normally in reg book?

They were there when they 1st posted the regs but they had a bunch of mistakes (they had some draw % listed at 230+/- % or something like that) and last I checked they had pulled them, it sucks because I like checking them out when I put my friends, family and I in

I see nothing in the regs about the proposed ban on trail cameras? It was supposed to be taken up at the December meeting. Anyone here what the outcome was on this....?

(3) Article 3 Update
Field Operations Assistant Director Craig McMullen provided a summary and discussion on proposed changes to the definitions for Developed Water Source and Point Source Water found in Article 3. The proposed definition for Developed Water Source is: Developed water source means any man-made structure or receptacle, whether developed or placed, that collects or stores water with the primary purpose of providing water to wildlife or livestock. The use of and definition of Point Source Water will be discontinued. The proposed rule language will be as follows: A person shall not use any trail camera for the purpose of taking or aiding in the take of wildlife within one-fourth mile (440 yards) of the outer perimeter of a developed water source. The proposed language is clear, concise, and enforceable. Man-made structures/receptacles are strategically placed for wildlife use and are more accessible to the public, which perpetuates the use of trail cameras on those structures/receptacles resulting in fair chase issues and increased conflict with the public. The Department will be presenting this and other proposed Article 3 recommendations for the purpose of discussion only at the December Commission meeting.

I suggest you contact Amber Munig with G&F to get clarification. She is very professional and good about returning emails or calls. Please return back and let us know what she said. [email protected]

I run a few cameras (less than 5)but have not put them near water in years due to having so many stolen when I did. Overall, I think this is a good rule.
