Trailer robbed

Just wanted to give a heads up but I was hunting off happy camp road by superior last week. Someone broke into my trailer while I was out and made off with a bunch of Sitka camo, tools, spare tire for trailer, food and drinks and my cabelas 1.75hp meat grinder. Hunting from out of state and just brought extra stuff down in case I needed something. Didn?t do me any good. Make sure you guys have renters insurance... my vehicle insurance said they would cover $200 in glass and $300 in electronics?. So I'm out a pile of money but hope to spare someone else the headache.

Yeah I'm with goinhuntin when it comes to thieves. Like ol Hank says ? I'd like to spit some beechnut in that dudes eyes and shoot em with my ol 45 ? !!! Shouldn?t have to come to this but maybe next time set up a trail cam on your camp and get the sonsabitches on film.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Lot's of drug abuse here in AZ. These losers steal plenty of trail cameras too. We're hunting javelina near Superior next month. Thank you for the heads up. I hope the thieves get what they deserve sooner rather than later.

It happened to me out there too. Two years ago I was with a buddy and we pulled up to his trailer after dark and right away noticed the gas cans that we stuck under the trailer were gone. Then we noticed the generator was gone, then noticed the door was ajar. They broke the door open and grabbed everything they could as quickly as they could. I'm talking pots and pans and socks, stuff like that. I was worried about something like that happening out there so I made a point to not bring expensive items with me like a pistol or iPad. All they got of mine was cheap clothes and bed coverings. My buddy was out quite a bit. This was in the 96 Ranch area a little off the main road.

Reads like they came prepared and most prolly out to steal anything they could.

Sorry for your loss man.

I too put up trail cams from 2 different angles.
Kinda sucks to see how many people 'walk by and around' my RV.

Ask the cop where the nearest drugdealers live then hit the closest pawn shop.

I hunt a few border units and sometimes I'll be a couple hundred feet from Mexico. Most of these camp thieves aren't illegals crossing the borders, but just tweekers and thieves from the nearby towns. Sometimes the crossers will take some food or water, but not high-dollar items.

Many hunt camps will leave an ice chest outside with some bottled waters so if someone is really out of water, they can grab a few bottles.
