Loyalty Point

Does the loyalty point go away if you apply for points only? This last year I wasn?t in a position to apply for elk so I applied for points only. I just logged into my portal account and found out that my account was not showing any loyalty points. My Dad applied unsuccessfully this year for elk and is still showing his loyalty point. Do loyalty points disappear if you apply for points only and not an actual hunt?

No

No. As long as you buy a point or get a point when unsuccessful you're fine. Some guys saying their portals are screwed up if yours is just call game and fish and they can fix it.

Lost my elk loyalty point because I put my wife in for elk with me and used her SS # as her ID and not her dept. generated ID. They gladly took our app fee but now I lost loyalty point and point for last year. Lessen learned.

Did fish and game get it squared away ?

Article 1 proposed changes from 2016 and implemented. You may be out of luck because it wasn't a funding issue that got you bounced, but it's worth a phone call. Send me a pm and I'll give you a contact number and email.

" In addition, the rule is amended to allow a customer to retain any accrued loyalty and bonus points when the payment submitted is less than the required fees, but is sufficient to cover the application and license fees. Currently, when the Department rejects an application with insufficient funds, the applicant forfeits any accrued loyalty bonus point and is ineligible for the computer draw and the awarding of any bonus points; all funds (less the application fee) are returned to the customer. The proposed amendment will allow the Department to issue a license and award a bonus point, provided the funds submitted are sufficient to cover the application and license fees. The application will not be entered into the computer draw and any additional funds will be refunded. This change is in response to customer comments received by the Department.
