Cell Service in 23?

I did have some problems with coverage (Verizon) in pockets, when I was in there last month, but most of the unit probably has coverage. If you don't have Verizon, I would guess you will have a few more problems than if you do. Verizon seems to cover the back country in Arizona better than the other carriers in my experience.

Depends where you are. I was there in December and I had some trouble getting service in the northern part of the unit. In Young there was great service, but you had to be fairly close to that location. I drove into Young and hung out on the road edge for a few hours so I could hit a cell site there and use my hotspot for wifi to get some work stuff done. The best service I found was right at the public school at the T-intersection.

I too have Verizon.

Top of the Hills has service, Down in the valleys not so much.
Late hunt = Broken bulls you should see some good ones that are broken up. Hard to find a really Big one that doesn't have some character from the rut. If the water ponds are frozen it glass and stalk then. Good to have a couple of fall back plan in mind if you get a bunch of snow. Snowmobile rental in Payson????

Followed ur posts from many a day ago. I'm just over hill from you. Have hunted all 3 of those late hunts (22n, 22s & 23). Gator has had em too. Not sure the need for a snow mobile, but anything is possible. Verizon is the way to go, and you will always have service at top of Rim. Get a Tonto NF map.....you are a good enough hunter to see the more remote country on it. Saying that, they can be anywhere too. Agree with above broke bull comments above......sometimes a guy gets caught up looking for the bull that broke the ones you see. You will have a great hunt!!
