Unit 42 Junior Hunt

My friend?s two boys both drew unit 42 junior deer tags, and I was trying to help him do some research. They are not really too worried about trophy bucks but would like to be into deer to keep it interesting, I guess the main question is can this be accomplished without a guide?(there wont be much time for pre scouting). If not does anybody have any guide recommendations, I think the season starts 11/24 so I am not sure if it is to late to book one but we can try. I found an archived thread on the hunt that made it sound as though South West Hunting Adventures was the go to outfit for the area, but when I do an internet search Dry Creek Outfitters comes up, did the two companies merge? Any way, if someone has been on the hut before or if anyone has information they would be willing to share it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Southwest Hunting Adventures is no more. Troy and Travis Scott are now Arizona Desert Outfitters. No one knows desert mule deer better than these two. I would help, as I live in 42, but I'll be on my wife's elk hunt then.

Just checking, did you get my reply?

They used to hold a JR's camp. I think they still do. Lots of guys willing to help including some guides.
BTW sagebrush, I have lived in rural 42 my entire life. Chance we may have bumped into each other out there.

Sagebrush,
Sorry I have been away from the site for a few days, I have gotten your pm and responded,

Thanks again.

Creed, Thanks as well we will look into the camps.
