That is good way to end a hunt.
I need to start hunting those little devils.

Congrats on the pig and success on your first hunt for them. Muzzleloaders are a kick and can add to the excitement of any hunt, especially if things don't go boom....:^) when they should.....and then things get interesting..... but usually work out in the end.

Tell these guys how many pigs you saw on your hunt?

I saw a group of four and a group of three during the HAM hunt.

I know the group of four I had seen on the HAM hunt all got whacked by rifle hunters later on.

Tough hunting for the most part this year in that unit.

Can't wait to see what the hunt success is for this year for both the HAM and rifle hunts there!

We all have our opinions, and I've been hunting/guiding in this unit for over 20 years, and I truly think that they numbers of javelina in this unit are going down! Herds seen are way down and the numbers of pigs in the herds that were seen were generally small, from 2-5 animals.

Anyone who was successful on the HAM hunts needs to be congratulated for sure!

Per Don's request...

I laid eyes on a total of (11) pigs in 4 days of hunting... The largest heard size was(4)in one herd and(3)in the other... The rest were in pairs...
