Looks like a pretty good dump coming that way this week.
My 87 year old father lives in Show low.
If it's as bad as my weather app is showing I'm pretty sure he is going to need a little extra digging out. (Looks like a possible 2? for Wednesday & Thursday)
I have him set up to get plowed out but that outfit won't do any hand shoveling on walks and other paths that might need opened up.
I haven't had much luck with finding any good help for him on other odd jobs in the past several years through various outlets there like the newspaper and Craigslist.

I ain?t askin? for no handout,
But if there's anyone close by or you might know anyone nearby that would like a lil side work and have the time and gumption to help out a little I would make it more than well worth your time and effort to check up on the old feller and possibly shovel him out if need be.
Many thanks from Idaho...

Wish I could help man. I'm down in Phoenix, but I think there are a few on the forum up in that area.
Luck to your pop and hope somebody can get over to him. Have you maybe tried Facebook?

I'll be leaving the mountain (Lakeside) Saturday morning to go to he P&Y Panel (if roads are open) or I'd help him out. The storm is supposed to hit tomorrow through Friday., with predictions now of 19-26? in Show Low.

There?s a kid that works at Owen?s Propane (Show Low) in the front office that has a blade on his truck. As a side job, he clears parking lots and driveways.....shovels too. Might be worth a call as I recall he was very reasonable.

I had this young man in Pinetop shovel my ex-GF's driveway earlier this winter. He did an outstanding job. I just sent him a text to see if he does work in Show Low too. I'll let you know what he says.

I just spoke to Josh. He said to give him a call, he would love to help you out. Again, he did some work for me earlier in the winter. He was very professional, and went by my ex-GF's house to look at it and then give me an estimate. He was timely and very reasonable. He did such a great job that I tipped him about 40%. His number is 928-245-3537. Tell him Jeff sent you.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-20-19 AT 08:51PM (MST)[p]Many thanks to all of you., for the help and concern.
It really helped take some load off my mind.

Jeff, I got a hold of Josh he sounds like a fine young man and we worked out a great deal for both of us.
I think he's going to be a great connection in the future as well. It ain?t always easy trying to take care of the old folks from 1000 miles away and I really appreciate your efforts.
I'll be down that way in a month or so I'd be pleased to buy you a steak and a beer or two.

BOHNTR.
I called Owens and spoke to a very nice lady there, she was very helpful and was going to search around for someone and get back to me.
No doubt a good connection as well, and I'm certain that she would of came through with someone. I'll call her back tomorrow and let her know I'm covered.
My dad has a couple of very nice Coues, I have very little doubt that one in particular will make book, maybe I'll touch base with you before I get down that way and you have the time and interest we can score it.
Many thanks for your help.

BGbasbhat.
I have no doubt that if you were closer you would of helped out the old timer I appreciate the interest and concern.

Good to hear you got some help runamuk. Hope the weather people are just blowing it out of proportion...not that they would do that!...haha

runamuk, I'm glad it worked out. Thanks for the offer, but I had to use Josh because I live in WA State and the Ex-GF is in Pinetop......probably why she is the EX-GF....too much distance between us. Anyways, I am confident Josh will do a great job for you like he did for me. I hope your Pa weathers the storm well....supposed to be a doozie.

Well, sounds like the weather guessers were pretty close..

Josh did everything he said he'd do and more, he also showed up when he said he would.
Pops said he's a very polite young man and didn't waste anytime digging out around the place.
No doubt Josh is my go to guy for as long as possible.
He showed great compassion and concern for the old folks.
patxarano.??? Many many thanks!!!!

Also a shout out to Dr-heating and cooling in Show low.

I called my dad about 6:00 pm last night to see how it was going his wife answered I asked how it was going, she answered by telling me she was freezing and the heater wouldn't turn on and it hadn't worked since about 1:00 pm.
I say, what??! why didn't you call me? or a heating guy?
(Dementia is starting to catch up to the old man, and his wife....
well lets just say if ya cant say anything nice don't say nothin' at all)
So I call Owens propane's after hours number, (the same folks BOHTNER recommended earlier, very nice people there.)
They put me in touch of Ron at Dr heating, Ron made it over there pretty quick and Fixed em right up, sounds like he was very polite and professional as well.

I've tried for years to get them to move out here closer to me in Idaho but they're stubborn and wont budge.

Its been fairly difficult to find and hire people to do odd jobs for the old folks, I hit a nice lil jackpot here on MM
Can't thank you all enough!!!!
