Drones?

Wanted to bring this subject up since I believe it is illegal in Arizona. I was hunting javelina's in 18B and sitting up on a hill glassing for those little critters in this canyon I heard this winning sound. My hearing is not all that great but I kepted hearing it. Then, all of a sudden there it was. A drone! I watched it for as long as I could see it and it was gone. I hiked back to my truck and bike. I had found a place that I could get cell phone service out and while looking at the internet I heard the noise again but it wasn't moving. I saw a light colored truck and I believe he was operating the drone. He left when he saw me and a liitle afterwords the drone followed in the same direction the truck went. I took a picture of the truck but really can't see allot, too far away. What's everyone opinion on this this? It's upsetting to me since I hike and if it is legal I too will take up the flight of the drone.

I would do like you and turn in EVERY one I see or hear in the woods. It's unacceptable for them to be used for hunting purposes.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-20-19 AT 09:05PM (MST)[p]Perfectly legal to fly a drone and take video, open hunting season or not. Using them for hunting or game harassment is another thing.

Who knows, you were the one there. I'm just trying to say that he may not have been hunting. You can fly drones during hunts but you cannot hunt with them or harass wildlife. Who knows what the guy was doing. Good luck proving he was hunting with it. People fly drones all the time, seems like this guy was acting suspicious though?

Turn them in everytime, and let Game and Fish determine if they're being used for hunting purposes. I had the same thing happen this year during the January archery deer hunt..

A drone cruised by my trail camera in the middle of the night. It must have seen the camera flash because it came back for a second look. The camera was placed at the edge of a terrific feeding location for elk.

Here are a couple of the photos.

Turn them in every time and let fish and game determine if they're hunting??? Really?? Flying a drone is not illegal last
Time I checked and most who do aren't using it for hunting.. so with your mentality non hunters should call fish and game every time they see a hunter and verify they aren't breaking any laws?!! That's the same mentality you are stating

can they see video at night too flying those things.

good luck keeping that camera now. You should probably remove or move before it disappears. Thanks for sharing

Hey, not fair. I am kinda nerdy and all and like to fly drones.....so my favorite thing to do is drive thru BFE, beat the crap outta my truck and self....I mean really get lost in the mountains, then open up my little box and fly the sh!t outt my drone.....I love the solitude of doing this. nothing better imo. Once I climbed all the way to the top of the galiuros....just to fly around...awesome...

come-on guys.....not likely

...elmacho.....out....need to eat....
