Can someone clear up for me on the new regs for non residents I know you have to purchase the $65 hunting license to apply for deer or elk, my question is if you don't draw is that credited back and you just pay the $20 app fee or do you have to pay the $20 Plus $65 total of $85 just to apply even if you don't draw the tag?

It is my understanding that the application will have a refund option. Should you be unsuccessful in the draw, and you checked the refund box, the $65 will be coming back to you. Your cost to apply is $20 at this point. This option goes for residents as well with an $8 overall cost to apply if unsuccessful.

Thanks so you pay the $85 upfront plus deer tag I think $290, but if you don't draw get all but $20 back and no points.

Yep, but make sure you mark that you want the license money refunded or you won't get it back because it's optional.
