Second hunt was a good one! The old man and I were in bulls every day from sun up to sun down. We had to leave 3 days early due to a death in the family but on the last day my old man passed on 8 different bull ranging from 280"-320" I spent my time and did my homework and we had some bulls found that we wanted to knock down. I got on a herd of about 40 elk and the herd did exactly opposite what most elk do.... Feed down in the mornings.... And up in the afternoons. 2 bulls in this group were well over 350". We were really after a 6x5 that if he would of had a matching g5 on his right would have easily been jn the 375" range. Had eye gaurds at least 20" 3rds were long and wide. He came into 80-90 yards several times then the cows would pull him away and back into the timber then his other companion would come in for a peak. He was a 6x6 that had a Massive back end on him but was weak in the gaurds. No doubt about if if we could have stayed one of those bad boys would have took a dirt nap. One if the best hunts I've had and I hope to this tag again. I called this bull in on the way out when we left that other herd because the wind wasn't good at all to try and get in on them. Had him raking a tree 20 yards in front of me the rolling around in the mud for 5 minutes until I got a shot. Yet again the Rage 2 blade titanium did the trick. This is my 3rd bull with these broadheads also killed 2 deer with them..... No bends or breaks.....
