AZ bull. Closed the deal

Cashed in my AZ points this year.

We chased this guy 2 miles starting an hour before daylight. Thought we had blown it at least a dozen times, but, we kept catching up with him.
Finally I got my shot, and watched him bed. He watched me also as I stood like a statue for 45 minutes before he moved his head and I was able to get another arrow in him. 10 yards and he piled up. One side is bad broke, but, happy with him.

Think I had 14. Gonna try some easier to draw units now. Put that one in first choice and hope for random draw.

I'm glad AZ changed it up a bit. Stinks for the guys with max points but gives us little guys a fighting chance! I'd like to say I'm holding out for a unit 9 or 10 tag but not sure if I can wait that long. I'm inly sitting on 5 points so I've got awhile before I even think about getting a quality tag. But congrats again damn good bull and making more memories with your son.

These hunts with my son are the best it gets.

He is now a huge part of our success, and the fact that he carried out 5 loads to my one is pretty nice also.

In bow hunting, it rarely all comes together. We got lucky and chose the right time to call. We had not called at all that morning except at 4:30 am to locate. It had been 2 miles of just trying to get in front, intercept, get in between bulls etc.
When we decided to have Zach call, we were about out of options. That got the bull riled up enough to start pushing his cows around and allow me to do the 300lb ninja sneak up on him.
Just lucky it all came together, and could not have got this bull most likely with out my sons help.
