You hunting 23 BUGLEnmIN? I was just curious. Had a buddy hunting it for the first hunt. Saw some good ones but they weren't talking to much.

Gonna take my sister out , she drew the rifle hunt. Just had surgery but plan on going down there 24 of this month. I know the unit but want to put up some cams and listen a little.

He said it was real tough,elk silent.
He did mention A buck...lol

I've heard the same for 5 other SW units now,slow & silent.
Late rut,IMHO
I had 3 bulls bugling the other night here and nothing since,not even cows and calves talking, tho they have been here at night.

Went out there this weekend, I had to initiate the talking, other wise I heard nothing. Late rut suits me fine this year. My wife has a rifle tag on the 15th. My sis has one on the 22nd. Good luck guys.

I'm getting ready to head down there in about a week. Late rut sounds good to me as well. I have a few areas that I am planning on checking. Any help or recent tips would be appreciated. I'm taking my 11 year old daughter on her first elk hunt. It's gonna be fun no matter what! Sounds like some of you have tags after her hunt. I would love to share info with you guys.
