How's the rut?

I have an elk hunt starting October 8th and I was wondering what you guys think the elk will be doing? Will they be rutting? Still grouped up and bugling? Thanks for any responses haven't been able to go out there yet.

I have a hunt starting the 8th also! I got a good friend who is on a hunt now in the same unit and says they are talking good until the sun starts shining. He said he has seen 4 bulls all alone with now cows including a 380+ 9x9.
