I'm starting my research to find a 2017 landowner tag on a good ranch where there is a legitimate chance of finding an 80" or better buck. Not too interested in going the guided hunt route although that is a possibility. If you know of anything or any contacts who might have such a tag, please let me know, pm's are acceptable as well.
 
Most LO especially in the NE area of the state won't allow unguided hunts and holding out for an 80" is doable but becoming more of a challenge these days. My best advice is get on NMDGF website and go down the list and start calling LOs but I'm gonna warn you in saying don't I hope you have deep pockets because these days it costs your first born for a quality lope tag!
