Any last minute advice before my rifle hunt starts this weekend?!

I hear it's thick, and steep.

This will be my first rifle elk hunt so i'm pretty pumped.

Must not be to bad then if you can wear WalMart Boots. Last pair from there only lasted 3 hours.

Heading down Thurs to meet up with a guy and try and help fill his wife's 1st elk tag...and scout for my deer hunt next month.
Warm,dry and quiet I was told yesterday.
