Late season archery elk hunt unit 34 tips

Hello, my father and I scored two late season archery elk tags. Any pionter on hunting elk this time of year. What is the success rate? Any info would be helpfull, thanks!

I think the success rate is like %2.. Still way better than sitting at home or work. You'll have fun. Depending on the unit, the big bulls sometimes become nocturnal. See if you can find a heavily used water source , and mix that in with spot and stalk. Good luck enjoy

I'd be glassing and patterning. The problem will be knowing where to glass from.

Roger that! I need to go scout the area out,but i have to work. I have a freind who knows the area good. The problem is he hunts it when the bulls are rutting. From what I
been reading up on is the hit southside slops where the sun hits most of the day. Get in the deep nasty canyons away from roads. Sounds like a fun challenging hunt..Looking foward to the challenge.
