East NM Quail Question

So I'm going to be getting into upland hunting here soon. I just bought a new GSP and will be taking him to a local trainer here in a couple weeks to get started. I should have him back with a little over a month of quail season left to get him and myself some hunting experience. I live in Clovis and know there's some pretty good hunting around me on public land but if anyone lives within about 1.5 hrs of Clovis and knows of some other options both public and private, please PM me. I'm willing to help out if it's on private land with any chores needed as long as I have time away from the family to do so. I also grew up on a farm and inlaws have a ranch in TX so I understand about taking care of property. I'm a veteran as well if that matters to anyone. Thanks guys.
