Not the best buck we saw on this hunt, but, these big bucks always seem to have 9 lives.
Where we live is a tough unit for deer. With all the time in the field we normally find a couple of exceptional bucks for out unit. While Zach seems to have Elk wired, These bucks seem to give him the slip. Last year was a super frustrating hunt for him. The bucks got all the breaks. One time while working in for a shot, 3 coyotes chased the bucks over the mountain, another time it started to snow when getting ready for the shot, even this year same type of stuff.
On our last day to hunt together (same day I was headed to CO for my deer hunt), we found this buck and put a good stalk on him.
He ended up killing this buck slipping down the ridge on him bedded and killing him at 60 yards.
