Taxidermist-Albuquerque

I have a trophy Coues deer that I would like to do a shoulder mount on and a Grey fox that I would like to do a full body mount on. Any recommendations on a taxidermist in the Abq area that could do a great job on one, or both of these, would be wonderful. Thanks.

This is not for ABQ and I am sorry Im not answering for there, but do yourself a favor and drive up to Santa Fe to Imperial Taxidermy.

You will get the best quality work that you have ever seen.

I've said it before and will say it again, Dennis Otero at Majestic Monarchs sets the bar.

He's quirky, even sometimes hard to get hold of, but I've never seen better work period. The attention to detail he puts into customizing forms, modeling the muscle structure, setting the eyes and antlers, brushing and shaping the hair etc. is absolutely incredible.

Based on my rough score in the garage he'll miss book by 4-6 inches but after what I went through to bag this buck he deserves a mount for sure. Thanks for all the feedback on the taxidermists.

I have known Dennis since 1st grade till now 48 some odd years and have many of his first work still hanging in my home when he was working out of his parents garage.

He is so much more than a taxidermist but a true artist and a perfectionist. He mounted this Lion for a mutual buddy of ours.

Paul Balboa does not work for Imperial taxidermy in Santa fe. Your thinking of the wrong guy. Paul and Vince Gallegos run Imperial taxidermy.

That's why I asked. I know Paul and Vince are Gallegos so I figured it couldn't be the same Paul. I've always worked with Paul and he is always friendly and professional and a true artist.

NOTHING to worry about with Imperial. Paul and Vince are class acts. I've trusted them with my first elk, bighorn ewe, and oryx last year and will be sending every animal from my safari to them as well. They are the only taxidermist I've ever used where I didn't worry about how it was going to turn out.
