First I got to thank Rod (aka DIYhunter) for sharing his knowledge and experience about hunting in KS. I drew a mule deer tag in KS and Rod drew the whitetail tag. the area we drew for is known for mule deer and actually has very few whitetail, in fact Rod made the trip with me mostly just to help me fill my tag.
One of the great things about this site is that folks help each other on hunts and in this case I benefited greatly by Rods generosity.
Sun had not even crested the hills in the morning when I killed this beautiful mule deer with my muzzle loader, that evening Rods friend killed this very old muley also. (This old deer had 2 drop tines and one was broke off). Next morning Rod connected on this nice whitetail buck. Great trip with good friend.
