2B or 2C Archery Hunt success?

LAST EDITED ON Jan-08-17 AT 00:49AM (MST)[p]^^^ LOL same haha

@ original post,
But seriously ... you didn't get the memo? Nobody posts their success on here anymore. And honestly I don't blame them.....

We have been close on some 190-200" bucks in 2c but no good shot opportunities yet. There are some true monsters running around up there but you have to know how to find them in that country. It's very easy to go several days up here without seeing even a doe. This is our 14th day (5 scouting + 9 hunting)in the field up in 2c and we have seen 11 bucks total but 3 of them are absolute 190-200" stud bucks. Now 2b is a different story. You can road hunt that unit and see hundreds a deer per day up by the lake.

Just wondering how this year was going. Talked to a few people and was told that this years hunt in those units were very hard because of the weather and muddy roads.

That's the truth. If you don't have heavy duty mud service chains on all 4 tires, your not gonna make it more than a 1/2 mile up the road before your stuck. The conditions have been hell this year to say the least.

No success here. Hunted 12 days. Seen some HUGE bucks, only two days we didn't see a buck. Closest I was able to stalk was about 80 yards away when he "winded" me. One day we made to atop Crow Mesa and that was after the snow came down. Spent most of hunt around Huerfano Peak/Angel Peak area because of the road conditions.

Here's a 2c buck!

What that score? My hunter got a 183 in 2B that would have went around 193-195 if the back tine was not broken. Can't get the pic to load on here though! Check it out on Facebook under Sierra Vista Big Game Outfitters.

Great buck DM! Just curious, is that blood dripping down from behind the deer ear?
