Well the results are up and it looks like I am going to be exploring new country. I love the research part of hunting. So begins my quest to gather information and solicit information from others who have walked the same hills. I know its not an easy hunt but there is something to be said about seeing new places. So...
I have read about getting good maps and hunting next to HH Ranch and also the Indian Res. I am curious about whether to stay in the SW part of the unit or explore the other parts in search of isolated elk. I am hoping someone can either talk me in or talk me out of what I am about to experience.
Also any info on gas and food services, watering holes, condition of roads, expected weather, meat processors close by etc.
