ABQ Custom Gun Shop

Can anyone recommend a good custom gun maker in ABQ? I would like to have a good quality .300 caliber hunting rifle built that shoots under 1/2 moa. If you have had one built how much did it run, and did you think it was worth it? Thanks.

Charley does top notch work that shoots

I had him barrel an action, so it wasn't a complete build but I did go back to him for a brake and bedding job. My handloads shoot .3 if I do my part.

He built a complete lightweight 300wm for a friend that shoots .5 with factory ammo.

I got this built at butch's in Albuquerque. I went in with a 284 cal carbon fiber barrel from proofresearch 26", a McMillan A3 edge sporter stock. I had in mind a 7MM MAG but when I got there I picked their brains for a long range hunting rifle. It was decided that a 28 nosler was the way to go. The finished project includes a stiller predator action, jewel trigger set @ 3#'s, muzzlebrake (awaiting a silencerco harvester 30 suppressor) topped with nightforce rings and nightforce SHV 4-14x50 F1 scope. I will say I am pretty damn pleased with it at the range. Havent had the pleasure of harvesting any big game yet. I am in the process of developing loads with 195 grain berger bullets. I will also add that it is light as hell and to be honest it doesn't kick like a mule!!! Oh yeah I also got all metal custom cerakoted grey. Give Aaron a call ?
