First hope everyone is having a good preseason and getting there scouting in. I was in Unit 52 this weekend scouting for a up coming Antelope hunt in two weeks. The weather was shitty, it had rained latemorning-mid day and stopped for a few hours in the evening until it started to get dark. I scouted high and low and never could locate a single goat. Was the winter hard on the population and there was that big of a die off or did the weather play a bigger roll then i expected and they were just in the trees. I glassed with binos and spotting scope and looked in all the areas that years passed have had good numbers of goats but i could no locate a single goat. I spotted Elk, Deer and even a yot. Has anyone else noticed a drop in goats in the unit or is it just me.

I see humanity now as one vast plant, needing for its
highest fulfillment only love, the natural blessings of the
great outdoors, and intelligent crossing and selection.

I was out there about 10 days ago scouting also. Saw good amount of antelope, but they're pretty spread out. Plenty of grass, water everywhere so they were just spread out. Will be out there tomorrow doing the same

Northern, head north past San Antonio Mountain. Take the third to last dirt road to your right before the border. Head east as far as you can go on that road until you get to the only small promontory about five miles in or so and glass and hunt from there on! Nice area in past years and secluded.
Good luck.

While hunting elk about 20 years ago I saw several bucks up on San Antonio mt. Always bucks in the flats on south side too.
It was a long time ago and i'm getting old.

Ok, I know I'm getting up in years, but I need to know what a "yot" is, and google is not helping. Are they dangerous?
