Off Range Oryx

For some reason I've got the itch to do an oryx hunt, and have really been looking into an off range hunt. I've read into the hunt quite a bit, and everything I've read says that it's really difficult, and that you should shoot the first one you see, but I also see several outfitters that have really consistent success on solid animals. Are most of these guys hunting public land the same as everyone else or are they in private ranches? I've seen that there's hunts almost all throughout the year. Is there certain months that would be better than others?

Worry about all that stuff after u draw a tag. I'm still trying 12 years later.
I've tried probably every month switching it around every app. No dice. I would bet that most of the guided off range hunts are on private property.

Bowdeadly is right ... You can buy an OTC TAG on deeded only.

Ran across these guys in Unit 30 2 weeks ago. Don't know a lot about them, but was surprised to see them that far east.

I just realized I was looking at the outfitter draw odds instead of the normal non res odds. Definitely not as easy to draw as I thought. Thanks for the advice so far though.

Based on what I heard, if I had to have one, I'd look into the private land hunt on the Armendaris ranch.

with NR tag costs though, almost cheaper to fly to South Africa and drop a couple.

Awesome! Did you hunt with 505 Outfitters twigfliper? That picture looks familiar.... We've done a few hunts with them and are thinking of trying off range next year.
