LAST EDITED ON Oct-20-17 AT 07:51PM (MST)[p]Hi there just wanted to share this picture of my little buddy Caleb and his bull. I saw this bull and a few others during archery elk/deer hunt. Kept tabs on this bull and a few others. Caleb and I located this bull again a couple of days before the hunt started and watched him Chase a cow around. My dad later the evening before the hunt also saw this bull. Anyway Saturday evening Caleb was able to connect on this tank of a bull for his first big game animal and big game hunt thanks to my dad and his uncle for an amazing job. . Caleb has no idea what he killed and how hard it is to kill and even see an animal like this tank on public land DIY. Bull scores 369 7/8. Congrats my little buddy! Awesome job! I'm very proud of you.

WOW congrats to Caleb
and a special congrats to you for taking the younger generation out and getting them involved at that young age, it can be challenging to say the least. We my brother and I took my daughters' ages 9 and 11 out for the second rifle hunt in Pecos. We didn't connect but we had some opportunities but decided to pass because of all the small aspens (to thick) we didn't want to wound an animal.
I'll tell you one thing not everyone thinks like that because we heard (30)shots YES(30)shots by 9:00 AM we saw a wounded spike pass us about 40 yards along with herd. So my brother and I put the hunter orange on the kids and slowly made our way out.
All in all we had a great hunt just spending time with them at that age out in woods is priceless.
