Any Turkey Sightings in 17

Hi guys,

A buddy of mine is heading out in 17 to hunt turkey in the next few days. He's been trying damn hard here for the past three years to connect with a recurve, but with no luck.

He's actually never even gotten any big game, and sure picked a hard method to learn how to hunt, but he has great focus and attitude. Here in 17 the hardest part is finding the birds, so if anyone has some info from recent elk or deer hunts I'd be so happy to pass it along.

Just because he's trying to stay local, I guess. He splits time between Socorro and Los Lunas.

I have hunted 17 for decades, and there honestly is not a big population of turkey for whatever reason. I have seen them, but far and few in between.
