Scouting trip not a success. Couldnt find much sign in white oaks area. I guess will keep the fight up before opening day. Found lots of locked gates and private land. Gonna be a tough hunt this year,but hey a bad day of hunting is better then a goods day at work!!!

That seems to be more of a common theme. Went on a deer hunt last weekend to see locked gates where they have been open previously. Pass through a ten acre parcel to get to forest and it's locked for the parcel. I have never understood how that happens, but I do understand why some people in New Mexico and other places lock gates. People have very little, if any, respect for land around here. But good luck on your hunt! If I had hunted 37 before, I would help out.
