Sandias Youth Hunt

Any successful youth hunters in the Sandias this year? I watched one youngster walk right past 2 bucks last weekend, and another one attempt to get close to two bucks only to get busted! Heard of a few get hit but never recovered. I have the hunt in January so hopefully they saved me one!!!

Tag soup for us. Saw shooters everyday however hikers were no help. My son passed on a 45 yard quartering away shot at nice 3x on the east side saying he didn't feel comfortable about the shot. He didn't appreciate my comments on the way home so next day after school he had the Glendale buck set up same scenario and told me lets see this one shot dad. Thankfully I kinda pulled it off.

Ha! I grew up hunting the Sandias....although since it has become a draw its been about 10 years since I have been up there. I know better than that!!
