Off Range Oryx

After almost 30 years of applying for my OIL tag with no luck and 2 unsuccessful off range hunts, I decided to go on a private land hunt. Was fortunate to take this big cow on the first day.

As talking as an out of stater who applies for these tags but never draws them...are the off range tags super hard? Are the animals just not there or what is the scoop on that.

The odds of drawing off range suck just as bad as on range. Some folks hunt the entire month and never see any, or very few. Some get on them quick and get it done in a few days. I have summers off so it gives me time to find them
